Our Philosophy

At Chiquitos Music we offer private music instruction, ensemble opportunities and school music classes in South Florida.

We work with children from many different backgrounds where music is our common language. No matter where we come from or where we’re headed, music will always be with us.

  • We promote passion for specific challenges in each musical piece.
  • We believe that with constancy and perseverance we can reach any goal.
  • We challenge our students to commit to excellence through music.

A child that is exposed to musical education is a socially strong child. With just two years of routines, musical education helps build solid mental structures which will act as a basis to elevate our children’s potential in all areas of life.

Jessenia Padilla

Founder and Instructor

Jessenia began her musical career at the age of four, as a member of the National System of Orchestras and Choirs of Venezuela Núcleo San Agustin. At the age of nine, Jessenia transferred to the Simón Bolívar Musical Conservatory. At the Conservatory she served as a member of the Violin Ensemble of Eddy Marcano, as an opera student at the Latin-American Academy of Singing, and she was selected to participate actively in different youth orchestras both locally and nationally.

At the age of 15, Jessenia started teaching music under the mentorship of the co-founder of the National System of Youth Orchestras of Venezuela, renowned music teacher, Susan Siman. Afterwards, Jessenia did her university studies in law at the Metropolitan University of Caracas, where she continued to play music as part of the Musical Chamber.

In 2013, Jessenia began teaching private and group violin lessons in South Florida. Most recently, she developed and implemented her own musical program in Broward and Miami Dade Counties as a music teacher with Education First, where she oversees the musical initiation program for over 600 children. She also offers musical initiation and youth orchestra practice at Three Village Montessori School.
